Creating an eCommerce website is about more than just updating a shop—it’s about redefining the customer experience and ensuring a brand's vision is fully realised. When Jacki approached me with her outdated website, I recognised an opportunity to revitalise The Vintage Secret and create a cohesive, polished online presence that would enhance sales and improve the overall customer journey.

The Vision
From the beginning, it was evident that The Vintage Secret had a unique brand identity, characterised by a curated selection of vintage treasures and a passion for timeless style. My goal was to ensure that the new website encapsulated this charm while presenting a modern, user-friendly interface that would appeal to both loyal customers and newcomers alike.

We aimed for a blend of vintage elegance and contemporary functionality. I wanted customers to feel inspired as they navigated the site, with intuitive pathways to products and clear calls to action that made their shopping experience seamless.

Design & Functionality


Brand Aesthetic: We crafted a visual identity that reflects the essence of vintage elegance, utilising a warm palette of soft pastels and rich textures that evoke nostalgia. The design invites customers to explore the site while making them feel at home amidst the treasures available.

User-Friendly Navigation: The layout is clean and organised, allowing users to effortlessly browse collections and discover unique items. We prioritised simplicity in the checkout process, ensuring that customers could complete their purchases with minimal friction, enhancing their overall shopping experience.

Mobile Optimisation: Acknowledging the importance of mobile shopping, we ensured that the mobile version of the site mirrored the elegance and functionality of the desktop experience. High-quality images, responsive design, and an efficient cart system all contribute to a convenient shopping journey.

Customer Experience Features: Building trust was crucial, so we integrated customer reviews, clear shipping information, and a comprehensive FAQ section.
